Now a furniture store, this located was once the Grand Avenue Hotel which dates back to 1898. John Wilkes Booth is believed to be the ghost that lingers here. He stayed at the hotel in 1903 and committed suicide through strychnine poisoning under the pseudonym David E. George. The room where he died is said to be haunted by his spirit, and the haunting has even been documented on a number of television shows.
